This painting, my largest single painting to date, was used as the backdrop for an amazing styled-photoshoot-turned-real-vow-renewal that blew us all away!
The couple were married in the military, and didn't have a chance to have a wedding photographer. We did our shoot on their anniversary, and they read each other renewal vows - I don't think there was a dry eye.
I knew I'd be painting for a real couple, so I wanted to communicate family love with the pod of whales, and also used the glacier as a nod towards that depth of relationship that people on the outside just don't see on the surface.
This painting is acrylic on unstretched cotton canvas that I gessoed by hand. It can hang loose as a tapestry, or be taken to a framers and stretched.
It measures approximately 5'x7'.
