This is a print from my original watercolor painting "Anxiety", part of my Motherhood Collection.

Many new mothers experience intense bouts of anxiety, imagining horrible things happening to their baby, or feeling fearful that they don't know what to do, or that they'll mess something up.
 
I wanted to communicate this through the both colors I chose, as well as through the meanings of the flowers used.
 
Columbine flowers (in the eyes) - "Anxiety"
Sainfoin (behind the head) - "Agitation"
Rhododendron (shoulders) - "Danger, Beware"
 
This piece is a reminder to new mothers to practice self-care, and a reminder to others that she has much on her mind.

Printed on giclee watercolor paper, these prints will ship in a plastic sleeve with cardboard backing.
