Watercolor Ocean Styled Shoot featured on Wedding Chicks!

Remember when I talked about planning a styled wedding photoshoot? Larissa and I put one together in January of 2017, and we got to work with an amazing cast of vendors! Recently the shoot has been featured on Wedding Chicks, so I can FINALLY SHARE THE PHOTOS! All pictures here are taken by the amazing Vanessa Smith. Make sure to click the Wedding Chicks link above, so you can see the video Thuis Studios put together - it made me cry!

Isn't Kemis's dress gorgeous? It was from Love and Lace Bridal Boutique <3

Here's the finished backdrop! I loved the imagery of the iceberg to illustrate that love is so much more than surface-deep. You'll notice the planner (the awesome Janie) used my smaller ocean-themed pieces to accent the water vases and candles on the floor. Such an honor to see my art used for a wedding like this!

The art on the mantle was also part of my Ocean Collection, and I also painted the sailboat you see there! And let's not forget the beautiful setup by Cre8tive Touch Events and Rentals and flowers by Blue Diamond Events Designs! (She also did the flower crown and bracelet you'll see later)

For the couple's unity symbol, we had them float away a paper boat with well-wishes written on it (another of my creations).

I also made some banners, hand-dyed and painted! And can we take a moment to enjoy the bride's gorgeous natural hair? Silver Immersion did such a fantastic job on her hair and makeup! Her delicate jewelry was by Kala Jewelry.

My mom and dad were there as street fiddlers - you can check out dad's work on instagram, he makes violins!

It was such an amazing opportunity to put this shoot together. I don't know when I'll be able to do another, now that we've had our baby, but it was a blast! Be sure to check out the full feature on Wedding Chicks!
